STORMO
The lesson will begin with a body listening work through the basic elements of CI: weight transfer, fluidity, balance, trust, proprioception, relationship with the floor, readiness in sudden change; until going to the awakening of a personal exploration that can be acted in relation with others and with the surrounding space, to arrive at a dance that is not ‘expected’, that is done in the moment, that is created together.
In particular, the Stormo work will be explored, a method created by me, starting from research on the concept of ‘resonance’ in quantum physics. According to this law, every body has vibrational properties such that if a specific vibration is activated in the environment, only those who are able to capture it will begin to vibrate in unison with it.
How does this law work in moving bodies?
In the flock, the group recognizes itself. Like birds in the air or like fish in water.
The group, in a constant practice, puts within itself a gestural language with a listening modality that, as in the laws of quantum physics, can be called “getting in phase” or “getting in resonance”.
This means being able to always interact with different elements, in a dialogue that is built thanks to the overlapping of personal choices that are welcomed by the group, transformed in the moment and expanded until they become an extemporaneous story.
